Brake is one of the most important equipment in the vehicle. It should get good care by owners. Here are some tips to follow: -
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
1. Every once in a month, check your car’s brake oil level (oil bottles front of the vacuum pump). Make sure the oil is between the minimum and maximum diparas. DO NOT DRIVE UNLESS BRAKE OIL LEVEL IS BELOW MINIMUM LEVEL.
2. Every six months when we rotate our car tires, check brake pads. Make sure the layer is still thick claw. If we find the gripping ‘eat’ is not the same between the left and right, ask the mechanic check the brakes or oil channels brake pressure system because kemungkinanatekana imposed on both the brake is not the same and is very dangerous to drive, especially during high speed braking. The same thing needs to be done to the brake drum.
3. In the event of brake oil discharge effects (seen paint or any material derived from petroleum melted) on any part, ask the mechanic check it. Do not take for granted this because of this leakage may be small but would be great during the braking pressure applied to it.
4. When adding brake oil, make sure it is the correct specifications. Dot 3 for normal use (usually a car with a disk in front and drums at the rear) and Dot 4 for heavy use (for cars with four-wheel drive system and high-powered car). If not sure ask the mechanical brake oil mistake can cause the entire brake system, we will suffer damage, especially on the seal made of rubber.
5. If there are scratches on the disk or drum, ask the mechanic to assess whether it can apply again or not. If we want to change the brake pads, I recommend the grind back disc or switch to a better drummer. These scratches can be a barrier pads grip the disc or drum brakes. As a result, the brake will not work.
6. Damage that often occurs is the brake jam. This occurs because the brake pads do not return a floating when we release the brake and continues to grip the disc. Damage was in the tweezers to control the brake pads.
7. For automotive, front brake pads will wear out faster than the rear (usually two times quickly), make sure you frequently check the front brake pads.
8. If you want to modify your car’s brake system, make sure you get written permission from the JPJ because it is the offense and our insurance company will protect you if an accident occurs due to the braking system and braking system you have changed the permission level of JPJ.
9. Avoid driving distance of padel to be on the brake. This can reduce the use of brake pads.
10. When descending a steep hill, do not use the brakes. Use the engine brake (low gear) to control the speed of your car.
11. If you like driving fast and in aggresive, change your car’s brake pads are more resistant to heat, such as project U. Make sure you also change your brake system, fuel channel to channel coated steel. This is to ensure that your car brake system to function in conditions of pressure and high temperature and brake reaction will be much faster when padel pressed.
OSAKA, Japan – Toyota Motor Corp, Asia’s biggest carmaker, is telling parts suppliers in Japan to slash prices or face being replaced by overseas rivals as the yen’s value appreciates, according to four people involved with the discussions.
Toyota, which loses 34 billion yen ($443 million) in operating profit for every 1 yen appreciation against the dollar, has told parts companies that it intends to increase procurement in emerging markets in cases where domestic suppliers can’t match overseas prices, according to the people, who declined to be identified because the talks are private.
Parts-making affiliate Toyota Boshoku Corp led declines among the automakers’ suppliers in Tokyo trading, dropping 5.8 percent to its lowest close since March 2009. Toyota is seeking to cut costs to compensate for the yen’s rise as the automaker restores output in Japan after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami damaged factories and caused parts and power shortages.
“The high yen must be pressuring Toyota to review its supply chain and to seek cheaper options,” said Hiroshi Ataku, an analyst at IHS automotive in Tokyo.
On Thursday, Carlos Ghosn, chief executive officer of Toyota’s biggest domestic rival Nissan Motor Co, said Japan faces a “hollowing out” of its industries should the government fail to take steps to counter the yen’s rise.
Toyota made the demand to its 219 largest domestic suppliers, including Denso Corp and Aisin Seiki Co, at a meeting held at the end of August, the people said.
Denso dropped 3.4 percent to 2,249 yen at the 3 pm close on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the lowest since Aug 24. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average rose 1 percent.
Toyota spokeswoman Amiko Tomita in Tokyo declined to comment on the automaker’s discussions with parts makers about prices.
After taking over as president of the Japanese automaker in 2000, Ghosn slashed the number of domestic suppliers to cut costs and restore the company to profit. That recovery is now threatened by the Japanese currency’s sharp rise, Ghosn has said.
The yen strengthened to a postwar record 75.95 yen versus the dollar in August and has averaged about 80 yen in the fiscal year started April 1, compared with almost 90 yen in the same period a year earlier.
Toyota has committed to manufacturing at least 3 million vehicles a year in Japan and has “naturally” favored its affiliated domestic parts suppliers, said Ataku of IHS.
“Toyota may have to follow what Ghosn did with Nissan’s parts supply chain 10 years ago, and search for the cheapest possible options,” he said.
Japan-based suppliers should procure more parts from overseas as one way to reduce their prices, Toyota said, according to the people involved in the discussions. The company has requested a reduction of as much as half from some of its suppliers, according to one of the people.
The automaker has said it expects global production to rise 5.1 percent from a year earlier to 7.72 million units in the 12 months ending March 31.
Toyota’s global output increased 10.6 percent to 626,817 vehicles in August, the first increase after the government ended subsidies for fuel-efficient cars in September 2010, the car maker said on Sept 28.
Domestic output gained 12 percent to 252,374, while overseas production rose 9.8 percent to 374,443 units, it said.

Do you really know about ABS system in your car? Some of us have heard about this equipment but maybe a little know about the ABS function. ‘Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) is one of the tools that function to control tire slippage during braking.Slip control system is intended to prevent vehicles from being driven to wander far from the tires as well as work holding brake is locked when pressed hard by an emergency.
This can reduce the risk of unexpected accidents. At the same time, in the event of any damage to vehicles due to crash and violation of the road barrier or another vehicle, when this we can see the ABS carrying out its functions.
Normally, all vehicles equipped with ABS safety systems will come with four characteristics of the detector located on each tire.
When there is any damage or failure is ABS, the characteristics of the tire sensor will alert the driver through the flame indicator light located sisterm involved in penal seal on your dashboard.
Consumers need not worry if the ABS system in a vehicle was damaged by the normal braking system is still functioning and the vehicle can be driven as normal. However, if the ABS system failure, drivers are advised to remain vigilant because the effectiveness of the locking wheel slip control is not as good as having ABS. It is therefore important for vehicles with ABS to improve the ABS system immediately to provide greater assurance of security to you and your passengers.
