AT&T Labs is invents the new vibrating steering wheel that promises to deliver navigation information to drivers. It is more safely than using on screen instruction or turn by turn GPS commands. In the prototype, a clockwise pattern of vibrations on the steering wheel means ‘turn right’ and counterclockwise means turn left. A study of this steering in diving simulators found that it could provide benefits to driver. As we know, more technology on car will be more computerized and distracted driving also become big problem. Using this technology could help to reduce risk of the accident because of distraction.

As I’ve write before, Proton has make their car wireless. It show that the car not just a transport but can become a medium to make mobile office or leisure place. A big name consortium of companies including Volkswagen, Hyundai, General Motors, Honda, Daimler (Mercedes-Benz), PSA (Peugeot and Citroen) and electronics companies including Samsung, Sony, LG, Nokia, HTC, Panasonic, Garmin and Motorola is working on how to mirror the phone’s display inside a car.
It has prompted major brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Mitsubishi to predict the portable satnav market – in much the same way as the iPod market – could soon dry up.One key area car makers believe will attract younger, switched-on buyers is the allure of the always internet-connected car.
According to the global chief executive of Nissan, Carlos Ghosn, Generation Y buyers are getting more difficult to reach. The trend is especially prevalent in Japan, where younger people would rather spend money on their mobile phone than save for a vehicle.However, even more compelling for car makers is the realisation that the smartphone can take over many of the car’s functions, reducing costs in the process.

Car child seat advice clinics are being held in Warwickshire after it emerged during checks that four out of five children were not correctly restrained.

Seats being incorrectly fitted or damaged were among problems which came to light during safety checks in the county in September.
The first of four clinics will be held on Monday at Asda, Corporation Street, Rugby, from 09:00 to 15:30 GMT.
Warwickshire County Council and police have been involved in the initiative.
Other problems which emerged in September included children being secured with an adult seatbelt so the seatbelt cut across the child’s neck, and children being transported in the wrong seat for their age and size.

I think it is good to have a car child seat advice clinics. Most of parent not take serious about the child safety in the car. Maybe government agency could make a seminar or course to guide parent the right of using car child seat.
My windshield wiper has make noisy. It means, it get some problem. Maybe most of us have experienced this problem that means, we need to give our money to change it..
Today, I want to share the issue of windshield wiper problem
1. Common windshield wiper problems
The driver complaint about the wipers not clearing the windshield properly is often due to problems with the wiper blade itself. Nicks in the rubber and bent brackets that hold the wiper blade insert are some of the most common problems associated with the windshield wiper that does not clear properly. In many cases replacing the windshield wiper blades will correct both of these conditions.
Also keep in mind that the rubber on the wiper blades themselves will harden over time which will reduce the efficiency of the blades and can cause extremely irritating noise. As a general rule of thumb I replace my own wiper blades about once a year whether they need it or not.
When the wiper blades become out of time or do not park low enough or hit a windshield molding this can be a sign of bent parts. Often this can be traced back to the wiper transmission linkage or the arms themselves. The most common cause of bent windshield wiper parts is a driver that does not clear the windshield of built up snow and just turns the wipers on.
Windshield wiper systems were not designed to move heavy loads. Also in some cases the wiper blades can become frozen to the windshield. When you turn the wipers on the force of the motor breaks the blades loose but at the same time can damage the wiper transmission linkage and other parts that are connected to it.2. Windshield wiper motor problems
If the wipers are working slower then would be considered normal one of the quickest ways to figure out if it is a motor problem or a binding linkage problem would be to disconnect the wiper linkage at the motor. Then turn on the wiper system and if the motor runs properly without laboring the problem is most likely not with the motor but with the wiper transmission or linkage.
If you are not sure on what the condition of the motor is, you can always take your automotive meter and measure the resistance and compare it to the specification in your service manual. You can confirm a binding wiper transmission or linkage by operating the wipers by hand. Not only should they be easy to move but they should be consistently smooth with no harder to move areas or binding taking place.
If the wiper motor does not run in a particular speed or not at all, an electrical problem should be considered. Checking the wiper fuse is a good place to start if the wipers are not working. On most vehicles a separate wiper fuse is supplied. If you suspect you have an electrical problem I recommend following the diagnostic tree chart in your car service manual for wiper problems. These systems are fairly straightforward and have not gone through too many changes over the years. Therefore the diagnostic charts are some of the easier ones to follow.
