Audi has been rumor to purchase Italian motorcycle maker, Ducati for about 860 million euros ($1.1 billion). Audi has reached an agreement to buy Ducati, with VW’s supervisory board set to approve the deal on Wednesday. Audi and Investindustrial declined to comment this story. Ducati’s total liabilites are less than 200 million euros. The takeover will make Ducati the 11th brand in VW’s portfolio (wow.. become more power) alongside super-cars marques Lamborghini and Bugatti and heavy duty track manufacturers Scania AB and MAN SE. The takeover will give opportunity for Ducati to compete with BMW motorcycle. The deal also mean that VW make entry into the motorcycle business and gain more asset in Italy.
Ducati was founded in 1926 and sells Superbike, Monster, Streetfighter, Hypermotard, Multistrada and the new Diavel models in 65 countries. It also has won 17 manufacturer’s World Championship titles.

Lamborghini Gallardo has sold more than 12,000 unit and the best seller for the brand. CarandDriver has get some information from Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann. Winkelmann , stated that it will make new design for the Gallardo. The next Lamborghini will use VW Group’s modular sports car architecture which also will underpin the next Audi R8. The Gallardo replacement and next R8 wil share 15 to 20 p0 percent more parts. As for powertrain, the current V-10 is likely to be use and mate to a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Audi has introduced their powerful version of TT compact sportscar in Europe, Audi TT RS plus. The car still used 2.5 litre TFSI engine that could deliver 364PS of power and 465Nm of torque. The customers can choose between 7 speed S-tronic and 6-speed manual transmission. It could accelerate 0-100 km/h in just 4.1 second and could reach 280km/h top speed.

Audi has released their new video of AUdi A1 Sportback. The car will use the regular A1 engine, the 1.2 TFSI in power steps of 86 and 122 hp, the turbocharged 1.4 TFSI delivering 185 hp and the 1.6 liter TDI diesel. Watch the video footage
