Fiat has open to talk to Volvo for a partner in developing small cars. After the collaboration with Ford end, Volvo has developed a new range of four cylinder engines and scalable platform for mid-large sized cars but no small car. Not just with Fiat, Volvo also had talks with others carmaker such as Mazda and Suzuki for their future alternative drivetrains.

Fiat Abarth will revealed their special edition model at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next month. Fiat will join with Maserati for the Abarth 695 Tributo Maserati that offered exclusively in convertible form (Fiat 500C) that inspired by Maserati’s GranTurismo model that could apply some elements of the sports car to the compact hatchback. There’s a special edition paint called Pontevecchio Bordeaux by Maserati that gets 17 inch wheels, performance tires, hexagonal exhaust and some chrome touches. It comes with 1.4 liter Turbo T-Jet 16v gasoline engine making 180 hp and mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.

Fiat released their new Fiat Panda. The model’s has been in market for 31 year and its precedessor were success and popular in Europe (not in Asia I think coz it ain’t easy to find Panda in Malaysia). The latest 2012 Fiat Panda will available with five doors and the measure is 3,650 mm long, 1,640 mm wide and 1,550 mm tall. FOr European customer, you will get option to choose from six engines including two TwinAIr 0.9 liter 2 cylinder gasoline units and turbocharged with 65HP and 85HP or 4 cylinder 1.2 liter 69HP gasoline engine plus a 75HP 1.3 liter Multijet diesel with auto stop-start technology.
