Naza has launched new Kia Optima K5 as the new flagship for Kia Red Cube. They target to sale Optima K5 sales 300 unit per month. The car is fully imported and expected to make competitor with Toyota Camry and Honda Accord in D-segment model. The Optima K5 is sporty and elegant equipped with auto-levelled HID xenon headlamps, LED rear combination lamps, LED daytime running lights, panoramic sunroof, 18 inch alloy wheels and gullwing folding side mirrors.
In the interior, Optima K5 features full leather interior and a multi-functional steering wheel with controls for audio, ECO-driving, auto cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity. It also have electronically adjustable seat with memory function. The engine will be use Theta II 2.0 litre dual CVVT engine with six speed automatic transmission and combined fuel consumption rates only 7.6 litres/100 km. The price for this car is RM143,888 (on-the-road with insurance).

Kia and Hyundai recalled their vehicle 2011 Kia Sorento and Hyundai Veracruz because of fault inn their wiring. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration the company said the recall affects 2,398 vehicles (for US only).
The wiring harnesses, which carry the part number 56024, are used to connect the vehicles’ electrical systems to the trailer’s lighting circuit. The company said the components are not water-tight, and moisture can seep into a part called the converter module and damage its internal circuitry.
The damage to the converter module can keep its protective fuse from operating properly. If the fuse fails to work properly the circuit can overheat and potentially catch fire.Under the recall Curt Manufacturing will notify owners and replace the wiring harnesses free of charge. The recall is expected to begin this month. Owners may contact Curt 715-831-8713.

Kia will show their their latest four door sports sedan at the Frankfurt motor show next September 2011. The sleeky designed car look similar to Hyundai Genesis and it mean, there’s a production version based on the platform.

New fourth generation of 2012 Kia Rio has revealed at 2011 AUstralia International Motor Show. The car inspire from Cerato and Optima.

The new Kia Rio will come with 1.4 litre MPI 4 cylinder petrol engine or 1.6 litre Gamma GDi petrol engine. The car will come into manual (6 speed) and automatic (4 and 6 speed) transmission. The front suspension will be used subrame mounted MacPherson truts with gas filled shock absorbers and coil springs. The rear will use semi independent by coupled torsion beam axle with separate coil springs and gas filled shock absorbers.

The steering will use MDPS electric power assisted rack and pinion which is tthe turning circle is about 10.52 metres.

There are three types of the tires :-
15 in x 5.5J 185/65 R15 tyres
16 in x 6.0J 195/55 R16 tyres
17 in x 6.5J 205/45 R17 tyres
