Another recall and now Subaru of America and Honda Motor recall their vehicles because the brakes malfunction. The Honda recall 126,00 GL-1800 motorcycles that produce on 2001 – 2012 model. A problem because of secondary brake master cylinder that cause the rear brake to drag, possibly causing a crash or fire. The NHTSA said they received 26 complaint including 2 about fires.

The Subaru recall thei 32,000 Legacy, Outback and Impreza from 2012 model because a defective brake master cylinder that could cause the brake pedal to travel farther than expected. It could cause a driver to misjudge the amount of pressure needed to stop quickly. Subaru has received 112 reports of this problem.The recall does not include WRX/STI models of the Impreza.

Good for them to recall fast. Some of the car/motorcyle is new( 2012 model). It will prevent from further problem.. Good for safety, bad for reputation.

Subaru BRZ sports coupe unveiled the BRZ Concept STI at LA auto show. The concept is using STI-tuned suspension chassis, Brembo brakes and BRZ with 18 inch wheels. The Subaru BRZ is an all new rear-wheel drive (RWD) compact sport car that develop from collaboration between Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) and Toyota Motor (TMC). The concept will combined with the race-bred tuning of Subaru Technica International (STI). It features new Subaru “FA” Boxer engine with 2.0 liter four cylinder boxer engine with a square bore and stroke of 86 x 86 mm.

Subaru has preview their next Subaru Legacy for the Tokyo motor show later this month. It will be launched alongside with new Subaru BRZ coupe and ultimate version of the Subaru Impreza WRX STI called S206.
The Legacy concept will be features a turbocharged 1.6 litre four cylinder boxer engine mated to an electric motor. The car claimed to use 2.5 litre boxer unit with much improved CO2 emissions and fuel economy. It will use CVT gearbox and all-wheel drive system. The concept will be able to travel on lithium ion batteru pack for short distance driving.
The concept is 4580mm long, 1840mm wide and 1430mm and the interior will be featuring high quality woods and metals and a large monitor built into the steering wheel that displays maps and internet services.

Like other’s Japanese carmaker, Subaru also get impact on last month’s earthquake. Today, they just start making cars for first time after the disaster. The output production wil be only half of the normal rate as the company have problem about gauges parts and power supplies. Subaru has kept their assembly plant at Gumma closed since March 11. Fuji Heavy (parent co of SUbaru) is the latest carmaker that resume their production after Nissan, Mazda, Suzuki and Mutsubishi while Toyota and Honda still off their factories.
