General Motors Co. has make sponsorship agreement with the famous soccer team in the world, Manchester United. Under the sponsorship of GM, Chevrolet logo will be placed on the MU team’s jersey star on 2014 season until 2021. The sponsorship for this agreement will generate about $559 million for this Barclays Premier League soccer team.

GM will pay about $18.6 million for each of the season this year onwards. The payment will be rising 2.1 percent each following season.

That’s a good deal to promote Chevrolet around the world especially in the Asia. Chevrolet not really famous on Asia and by showing their logo at Manchester United shirt will become a good promotion because Manchester United is the famous soccer team and soccer is the famous sport worldwide.
