BMW Group Malaysia was introduced their new BMW 3 Series in Malaysia. It comes in 3 variants , BMW 320d, BMW 328i and BMW 335i.

“The BMW 3 Series is the best-selling sports sedan in the premium segment that there has ever been with well over 12 million units sold worldwide since the car’s creation in 1975. We are confident that the all new sixth Generation BMW 3 Series will continue to set a higher benchmark in automotive history!” said Mr. Geoffrey Briscoe, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia.

The new BMW 3 Series also add more exclusive with 2 new BMW Lines of Luxury and Sport which feature specific exterior and interior design as well as equipment elements that give the car unmistakable character and enabling owners to tailor their BMW 3 Series to their preferences and personal lifestyle. The price of BMW 3 series is :-

> BMW 320d – RM 268,800
> BMW 328i – RM 309,800
> BMW 335i – RM 488,800

The new BMW 3 Series feature the new BMW TwinPower Turbo 4 cylinder engines in the new BMW 320d and 328i.
The all new BMW 320d which is set to re-excite drivers in the segment who seek best-in-class power and efficiency in a package that delivers exceptional driving dynamics and excitement showcases a turbocharged 2.0 litre capacity engine that is fitted with variable turbine geometry (VTG), ensuring that the engine’s turbo aspect ratio is maintained at optimum levels. The new diesel variant of the BMW 3 Series also features Common Rail direct injection capable of delivering an output of 135 kW/184 hp with an exceptional 380 Nm torque reading. This enables the new BMW 320d to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
The all new BMW 328i is the replaccement for the former BMW 325i. The new premium compact sedan now features, for the first time, the new 4-cylinder 2.0 litre capacity BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine which is fitted with direct injection, Valvetronic and a TwinScroll turbocharger for an output of 180 kW/245 hp and a very respectable 350 Nm torque reading, allowing the car to reach the 0-100km/h sprint in 6.1 seconds.
The segment topping variant – the BMW 335i retains the exceptional 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, direct injection, Valvetronic and TwinScroll turbocharger for an exceptional output of 225 kW/306 hp and 400 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.

The BMW 3 Series will use 8-speed automatic transmission that providing drivers with smooth driving experience.

Europe market will have new BMW 3 series launched three new models of F30 sedan the 320i (petrol version),316d (diesel) and 318d (diesel). The 320i model is four cylinder turbocharged petrol that using 2.0 liter inline-four with direct injection, twin-scroll turbocharging, double-Vanos variable camshaft timing and Valvetronic variable valve timing technologies. The output is 184HP at 5,000 rpm and and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) from 1,250 rpm. With the standard 6-speed manual, the 320i sedan accelerates in 7.3 seconds from standstill to 100 km/h (62mph), 0.9 seconds faster than its predecessor model
In the 316d, it delivers 116-horses and a maximum torque of 260 Nm (191 lb-ft) between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm propelling the sedan from zero to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds (8sp automatic: 11.3 sec), and achieving a top speed of 202 km/h (126mph).

The 316d’s average fuel consumption is 4.4 lt/100km or 53.5mpg US / 64.2mpg UK (8sp automatic: 4.5 l/100 km), with CO2 emissions of 115 and 116 g/km respectively.

In the new 318d, the diesel unit produces 143-horses at 4,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm, offering a 0-100km/h sprint time of 9.1 seconds (auto: 9.3 seconds) and a top speed of 210km/h (130mph).

BMW says it consumes on average 4.5 lt/100km (52.3mpg US or 62.8mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 117 g/km in both transmission versions.

BMW revealed their 3-series in special event in Munch. The more economical, roomier and faster BMW 3-series saloon. It will go on UK market in next February with soft turbo four cylinder petrol engine and 109g/km economy diesel.
the new 3-series will initially be sold with the choice of three engines in four models – the 320d, 320d EfficientDynamics, 328i and 335i. Further models will follow in quick succession, including the 318d, 330d, 325d and 335d, next March. This new 3-series will introduce three new trims – Sport, Luxury and Modern — to complement the usual ES, SE and MSport.

BMW latest 3 series version has been caught in winter testing at UK. The autocar sources get some information about this model that will use hybrids and electic power. It is likely to have 150bhp 1.5 litre, 100g/km of CO2, 3 cylinder diesel with BMW’s Efficient Dynamics technology.
