We’ve known that it is dangerous using cellphones while driving. One company has introduced their device that block cell usage in a car while it is in motion called CellCONTROL. The company, Scosche insists that the device is compatible and easy to use and work for any car sold in the U.S in 1996 or later was made with an OBD-II interface (dunno what this interface really). It will work with more than 1,200 different phones model. Once installed, drivers only can access their phone via bluetooth headset. Email, SMS will be block untill the wheels stop spinning.
The device look cool but I don’t know if it can get market.. Who want this?

Touchscreen has become a phenomenon in technology. There’s an idea to put it into your car windows. Imagine while you driving, your children can play a games or chatting using the windows. Isn’t it cool? It is possible if the Students of FutureLab at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Israel finished the assignment from GM’s. Yeah.
It will make living in car more interesting…

There’s a researcher from the University of Stuggart, German research center and University of DUisburg-Esse to crea ted an automative steering wheel that uses touch screen to enable friver to control things such as the radio or navigate map. Using the technolgy there’s many function at dashboard could be transfereed to the steering. The steering wheel is made by 11 milimeter thick acrylic that ring by infrared LEDs. The screen will be attach by infrared camera to detect reflection when screen is touched. Driver don’t need to take their hands off the steering while doing gestures. The technology also could designed to check road condition and traffic for driver to alert on the road. The prototype was presented at the COnference on Human Factors in Computing System and there’s automotive companies interest with the system.

Great innovation. Maybe next 10 years there no steering in our car and no more function in dashboard. Let’s wait and see.
Wow.. It is really true? Ford Focus could talk in British road next year. The car will provide with system called Sync that could answer common question. FOrd says that the technolgy could understand 10,000 commands in 19 languages. The system could help driver to control audio, telephone and satnav system that has unique connection between driver’s devices and the vehicle.
