McLaren are considering to use Honda engines starting from 2014 when F1 shift to use V6 turbo engine. Currently, McLaren use Mercedes engine which the deal is expire to the end of 2012. The deal states that Mercedes can provide the Woking-based team with the engines until at least 2015 but they need to pay 8 million Euros to Mercedes. As we know, Mercedes also have their own team in F1 and McLaren already started to find another engine partners. It is not the first time Honda and McLaren collaboration. In the past they have make a team between 1988 and 1992. During the time, they claim four driver’s title.

For next season F1, the two Lotus brand, Team Lotus and Group Lotus want to change their team name. The Team Lotus that being owned by Malaysian tychoon, Tony Fernandes will change to Caterham related brand while Renaul will becoming the sole Lotus. F1 did not encouraged to change he name so it need to approved by sport’s F1 Commision.
Name changes aren’t something that should be encouraged,” agreed FOTA chairman Martin Whitmarsh.
“But if you’ve got two Lotus names in Formula One it strikes me that isn’t desirable, it’s not what people really need or want in the sport,” the McLaren boss told Reuters.

As we know, Webber become shadow of Vettel and there’s a rumor that the Austrian racer will look for another team. At last Mark Webber has made decision and signed with Red Bull Racing for next season and put the conflict behind and aim for more success next year.

“I want to continue racing at the top in Formula One so it’s a no-brainer to remain at Red Bull Racing for another year. My motivation to achieve the best results possible both for myself and the team is still very high,” Webber said.

At last, Lewis Hamilton win the 2011 GP German. German has become the place for him to take his second win of the season. The win is exciting after Lewis Hamilton battle with Ferrari, Fernando Alonso while Mark Webber in come third. The championship leader, Sebastian Vettel struggled and just come in fourth ending his run of 11 successive podium.Hamilton started second but took the lead from Webber by the first turn, and McLaren then successfully defended the position in a cat-and-mouse game of pit stops between the top teams. The race was run under damp conditions, with intermittent raindrops helping to keep track temperatures cool.
