It is a pity for Saab dealer. As we know, Saab officially bankrupt and there’s many parties interested in acquiring the Sweedish carmaker. Up until now, no offer has materialized and with each passing day, the chances of the Trolhattan-based company becoming history are increasing. Some of dealers has selling their shops and some of them are considering all options. It is pity when you become a dealers and the carmaker has been shut down.

As we know, the Sweedish carmaker Saab was bankrupt. I’ve heard that Chinese vehicle maker likely to buy it. And there’s a news that Zhejang Youngman Lotus has made a £282m bid for the Saab. From Reuter’s source, they have made a bid of last week but still unclear. The Sweedish Debt office recently paid off Saab’s European Investment Bank loan and now owns the right to Saab’s parts operation and Saab AUtomobile Tools division. The total of this 2 operation worth more than £205m.
The Youngman’s is plan to build two models for around 18 months and it is trying to get from Saab’s Phoenix platform and their new 9-3 models can be based on it. Youngman own the rights to build and sell Lotus models in China but Proton’s new owner are still digesting Lotus’s revival plan. There is also some mystery surrounding Youngman’s plans the build the 2003-model 9-3. Based on GM’s Epsilon 1 platform, Saab owned the rights to the car and sold them in late 2010 (along with the design rights to the old 9-5 and Saab’s old slant-four engines) to Beijing-based carmaker BAIC.

Saab has filed for bankruptcy with the District Court in Vanersborg, Sweeden. The Board of Saab AUtomobile has decided that the company not have sufficient fund and filling bankruptcy. The question is who will take the Swedish carmaker? From the rumor, it will involved the car firm’s former owner, General Motors. GM still hold shares in Saab but reluctant to authorise because it was worried about their intellectual property.
Other than GM, there’s an interest from Chinese investor, Youngman but still in review.
