Catalytic Converter is a device to convert huge to a less harmful pollutant. It reduce carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide and unburnt hydrocarbons. They are very effective to reduce pollution as long as they are clean. Catalytic converters don’t last forever, though, given the harsh environment in which they work. It combine of heat and a precious metal catalyst that causes the harmful emissions to either oxidize or reduce to safe elements in the exhaust flow.
There are 2 types of catalyst :-
1. Reduction Catalyst
2. Oxidization catalyst
